Welcome to tagging.

I'm going to try something new here. Something I've never done before....it's called tagging. If you guys know what tagging is better than I describe it, feel free to correct me. But as far as I have observed, here are the "rules".
I'm going to start the tag. I will pick a subject (such as '10 things that annoy me'), and list the 10 things in a post. At the end of the list, I'll post the names of however many people the directions say to tag, and leave a comment on their blog telling them I tagged them. So, does that make sense? Let's give it a try...

The rules of this tag are...

  1. Make a list of 11 (in honor of the new year) people, or people groups (i.e. the ___ family) you are thankful for. They must be physical, and alive now.
  2. Tag at least two people and leave a comment on their blog telling them you've tagged them.

  1. My mom
  2. My dad
  3. Josh
  4. My cousins (Ana, Aly, Andrew, and Alivia)
  5. Mikaela
  6. Katie
  7. All my babysit-ties and their families!
  8. Missionaries
  9. Mexican people
  10. CC friends (classical Conversation friends).
  11. Grandparents
(Of course, I have many, many more!!!)

I tag Katie, Callie, and anyone else who wants to participate!! (Please, feel free!!)

We'll see how this goes...

A new experience- Drivers (d)E(a)D Part 1.

Interesting title, ah? Obviously, I'm learning how to drive, and hence I've had to take driver's Ed. (or Driver's dead). It wasn't the most horrible experience ever, I mean I'm alive and well right now.

In order to get my licence, I have to get my permit. In order to get my permit, I have to do three things:

  1. Sit through 36 hours of class time to teach you about driving and take a 200 question test about it.

  2. Get my eyes checked

  3. Drive for 6 hours with an instructor.

So, I did NOT want to sit through 36 hours of class time!! But the good side to number 1 is that they make you take the test first, and if you score at least an 80%, you don't have to take the class. However, may I remind you that the test is 200 questions long! My friend (who is very smart;- yes that's you Katie) took the test and told me that she barely passed (At least I think that is the way it went). Needless to say, I was very nervous.

I am also very uncomfortable in public schools. Especially public high schools. I guess it's because I've been home schooled all me life.

To sum the test up, I passed, and I was VERY relieved! Next step; eyes checked....

Easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next step......DRIVING!!

Guess what?...I'm alive!

I have lived through another dentist trip! It's wonderful news, and since my last post, I've completely changed my opinion of the dentist. But that's only because I like MY dentist.

However, I'm clean, cavity free, and have a mouth full of baby teeth. What could be worse? :)

You're in love with hockey if...

  1. You read "office" - like "off" "ice".
  2. All of your vehicles are decked out in Hurricane's accessories. (including the motorcycle)
  3. Your license plate says "playhcky".
  4. Whenever someone names a state, you automatically think of the professional hockey team in that state.
  5. Everyone in your family owns Hurricane apparel.
  6. You count down the days to you next hockey game.
  7. You sing a Hurricane's song before bed each night. (new tradition) :)
  8. You stop school early to go to a Hurricane's game.

As you can tell, it's a new hockey season....

mixed emotions....

My hours of freedom are getting down rather small. It's Sunday, 6:55, which means that I have about 12 hours before my school year routine starts! I am excited about school, esp. about using my new desk and mechanical pencils; but I really have enjoyed this summer.

Gotta go grocery shopping now!

Is this a frog or a horse, or both?

Can you see the frog and horse in this picture? Good optical illusion, huh? (hint, look straight on for frog, than turn your head clockwise or to the right, to see the horse.) Can anyone do it? It took me a long time to find the horse!

A tribute to Agape (aka. "Thittie")

We come up with some very strange nicknames for every member of our family (including pets). Our cat's name is Agape (greek word for love), but we rarely call her that. It's always, "Thittie, Thittle, Thids, or (daddy's name)-Gopper goo. (Don't ask, unless you can't resist) We have even weirder names for our dog, but I thought I'd do a post for "Thittie" today!!
Our cat lays in the planting pots...how about yours?
She also makes herself at home on various parts of our body including the back....how about yours?
Of course, who doesn't like a nap in sink once in a while?

And to think...she's 18 years old!
